Company

Smart was born in 1978 (the first Smart in the world) from the innovative idea of its founder Renato Merlini, who wanted to give new application to his family's historical business operating in the textile hemp industry.

Mission

In addition to strict production control of standard items, the Company develops new product lines in its laboratory, using new raw materials and treatments for fiber finishing: nylon, polyester and those defined as High Performance

(UHMWPE, Para/Meta Aramid and LCP).

Products

Selection of the best synthetic fibers, in-house twisting, automated dyeing, special finishing, tailoring, quality control and automated logistics storage offer our customers a weave of 100% Made in Italy technique and experience.

FLEXIBILITY

Flexibility and service are the Company's greatest strengths. The in-stock availability of items in about 300 basic colors and the ability to meet requests for sample colors make it possible to facilitate the customer in prototyping, sampling and production.

DISTRIBUTION

The sales network consists of agents and distributors in Italy and abroad who can manage and assist customers operating in the most important production areas of the leather industry.

TECHNOLOGY

Production operations are managed through a computerized and robotic system that ensures perfect synchronization between the various departments, braiding, twisting, dyeing, and finishing up to the storage in the warehouse of finished products.
